#fasting is one of the WORST things you can do for your metabolic health = overall health
your body deems hunger as danger so its response is to increase cortisol.
pretty much when blood sugar 📉 (which happens when you fast) cortisol 📈 in order to try and maintain blood sugar levels.
why would we constantly call up #cortisol to regulate our blood sugar when eating balanced meals does that for us???
with high cortisol things like estrogen start to rise, progesterone starts to decrease, your thyroid becomes suppressed, you become more insulin resistant, you develop fatty liver and you stop being able to digest your food.
when blood sugar is stable, cortisol comes down. so let’s stop riding that blood sugar rollercoaster and eat 3-6 balanced meals regularly throughout the day (carb, fat, fibre & protein).
